Do things which help people conceptualize vastness:

1. of space
   1. Bill Nye-like model of solar system (to scale)
   2. tape image of Pluto down on sidewalk along State St.
   3. tape a red string along sidewalk, then tape down the next planet
   4. this string could be thousands of feet long, people could walk along it
2. of a number like 1 Billion (or even 1,000)
   1. Give Free Money to people who count to 2,000 (nobody will make it)
3. cost of Iraq war vs. sending someone to college
4. US budget (Death and Taxes poster [1])

2. make large distances (or quantities) smaller and to scale

   1. A sign could say, "If the Krannert building is the size of the sun, this marble is the Earth."
